Carrie Bickmore mourns the loss of two family members in one week
Carrie Bickmore has shared that she lost her two grandparents in a matter of days.
The Project host took to Instagram to announce the news on Monday. “Farewelling second grandparent in a week,” she wrote alongside a picture of a flower arrangement on top of a casket.
“My poppa was 90 and my nana on the other side was 97. Incredible innings.
“Feeling emotional but also so grateful to have had all my grandparents into my 30s. They have taught us so much and loved us unconditionally.”
The comment section saw Bickmore’s friends and fans offering their condolences.
“It’s so sad and emotional saying goodbye to loved ones, especially when they’ve been important to us for all our lives,” wrote Chezzi Denyer. “Sending love and telepathic hugs.”
“So so sorry to hear that Carrie. Sending my deepest sympathy to you & the family,” wrote Julia Morris.
The mother-of-three recently returned to work, just three months after giving birth to her daughter Adelaide.
