How to create a slow motion video on your phone

They say life passes in the blink of an eye, but if you have an iPhone 5s or newer, you can slow it down. The latest models of the iPhone capture video in 1080p HD and give you the option of recording your videos in slow-motion. Here’s how to do it yourself. It’s easy, we promise.

1. From your home or lock screen, open the camera application

2. At the bottom of the screen above the shutter button it should say “Photo.” Swipe until you see “Slo-Mo” instead.

3. Press the shutter button to record a video as you normally would. Press again to stop recording.

4. Press the thumbnail on the bottom left of your screen.

5. Adjust the sliders beneath your video to change which seconds are in slow motion and which are in regular speed.

It’s that simple! We’ll be reserving this effect for the dogs and grandkids, but maybe leave it at home when we go to the beach.
