How to listen to music online for free

Do you want to find a way to listen to music that you like without having to buy endless amounts of CDs? Well, we’ve got some easy ways for you to listen to as much music online as you like – for free. It’s important to remember that you should make sure your internet download allowances are large enough to support streaming music before you use any of these solutions. If you’re unsure, you may want to check with your internet service provider.

Online radio stations – You may have heard of websites like Spotify, Jango and Pandora. These completely free services allow you to sign up and create your own radio stations based on artists and songs you already love. When you sign up, you select bands, singers, or genres you love, and voila – your own radio station is created. The station will then start suggesting new artists it thinks you will like based on what you’ve told it. You can pay for the service, but if you don’t mind the occasional ad, you can listen for absolutely nothing.

YouTube – If you just want to listen to a specific song, you can go to YouTube and search for that exact title and artist. Most artists and bands have their own YouTube channel, while some vintage music is uploaded by music-lovers who want to use it to make videos of their own.

iTunes Radio – If you have iTunes on your computer, then you already have access to iTunes Radio. While not as programmable as services like Pandora and Spotify, iTunes Radio comes with a range of already created stations to suit every taste. You can go for something from the 1970s, or the current hits in the charts, or even a playlist created by musicians themselves. If you don’t already have iTunes, you can download it here.
