Karl Stefanovic's son takes his mother Cassandra Thorburn's surname
The Daily Mail has reported on rumours Karl Stefanovic’s relationship with his eldest son Jackson has broken down after the 18-year-old was noticeably absent from the TV presenter’s commitment ceremony with fiancé Jasmine Yarbrough.
Jackson has reportedly changed the username on his private Instagram account from @jackson_stefanovic to @jackson_thorburn, ditching his father’s last name to adopt the surname of his mother, Cassandra Thorborn.
The report notes it’s unclear when Jackson changed his Instagram handle, but he has previously been tagged in photographs with his famous father.
In November 2015, Karl is posed with Jackson with the caption: “My little bloke not so little. Off to the school formal. Daddy crying. @jackson_stefanovic”.
In August of the same year, Stefanovic wrote, “Happy 16th to my beautiful eldest. Daddy loves you @jackson_stefanovic hahahaha”.
It has been noted that Jackson is still using the surname Stefanovic on Facebook.
Karl and Cassandra separated in late 2016, after 21 years of marriage.
