Apple urges every iPhone user to do this one thing now

Apple is urging iPhone users to perform a simple task on their phone to address new security flaws which could give hackers control of their device.

The technology company says users must update their iOS to address the new security flaw, or hackers could take over a device that’s searching for a connection.

“An attacker within range may be able to execute arbitrary code on the Wi-Fi chip,” Apple wrote on its blog.

The affected wifi chips are found in every Apple deivce form the iPhone 5 and fourth-generation iPad onwards.
