We have all the experienced the moment of watching a fairly decent movie only to be taken out of the story world because of one line that fails to miss the mark.

Whether the one-liner is due to bad writing or poor delivery on the actor’s part, these movie quotes have garnered attention for all the wrong reasons.

Here are eight movie scenes that contain cringeworthy one-liners.

1. The World Is Not Enough (1999)

Bond: “I thought Christmas only comes once a year.”

2. Batman & Robin (1997)

Mr Freeze: “You’re not sending me to the cooler!”

3. Rocky IV (1985)

Rocky: “…So what I’m trying to say is, that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!”

4. Four Weddings & A Funeral (1994)

Carrie: "Is it still raining? I hadn't noticed."

5. Total Recall (1990)
