Brooke Shields reveals pickup line Donald Trump used on her
Donald Trump may hold the most powerful office in the world, but when it comes to his interactions with women, the US President doesn’t exactly have the best track record. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Don once asked ‘80s it girl Brooke Shields on a date – but was promptly turned down.
Speaking on the E! talk show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, when pictures emerged of the two together, the actress was asked if Trump had hit on her. Shields replied, “No, but he did ask me out later.”
“I didn’t go out [with him], he called me,” the 52-year-old actress and model clarified. “I was on location doing a movie, and he called me right after he had gotten a divorce [from Marla Maples] and said, ‘I really think we should date because you’re America’s Sweetheart and I’m America’s richest man and the people would love it.”
Cringing as she recalled the awkward moment, Shields shut the future president down, saying, “I have a boyfriend and he’s not going to be happy about it.”
