Princess Diana looks just like her father in newly released photo from Earl Spencer
Princess Diana's brother Earl Spencer has shared a rare photo of their father – and fans have immediately pointed out a striking resemblance to the late royal.
Charles Spencer, 54, took to Instagram to share the restored and colourised image of his father John Spencer, taken in his army days in the late 1940s.
The restoration was undertaken by Brazilian colourist Marina Amaral, who will be speaking about her new book at the upcoming Althorp Literary Festival, held at the Spencer family estate where Diana is buried.
Fans immediately spotted a resemblance between father and daughter in the picture, with one saying: “Wow I see a lot of Diana in this photo.”
Another said: “Very handsome and the resemblance is uncanny!”
“Wow. I see a LOT of Diana in this photo,” another fan wrote.
Opening up about his late father, Charles said: “He was a gentle, kind, man without any pretentiousness.
“He was a loving father, and a man who enjoyed meeting people of every background. He treated everyone with great respect."
