Prince Harry and Meghan’s photographer reveals secrets behind wedding photos

Prince Harry and Meghan’s official wedding photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, has revealed that he was only allocated three minutes to shoot the “exhausted” newlyweds.

Lubomirski, who also shot the couple’s engagement photos, said the black and white shot of Meghan nestled between Harry’s legs happened after she “slumped” on the groom out of exhaustion.

The photograph has been dubbed as the most intimate royal wedding photo.

In an interview with the BBC, Lubomirski described the wedding photo shoot of Harry and Meghan as “one of those magical moments”.

“We went out there and had about three-and-a-half minutes to take some quick shots because everything was running like clockwork,” he said.

“It was just one of those magical moments when you’re a photographer and everything falls into place. I said ‘just before you go in, sit on those stairs.’

“And she just slumped between his legs and there was this moment where they were just laughing because they were exhausted and thinking finally it’s all over. It was one of these beautiful moments.”

Just days after the royal wedding, Harry and Meghan attended their first official event as husband and wife.

The couple attended Prince Charles’ Patronage celebration at Buckingham Palace to mark his 70th birthday, which is in November.

Over 6,000 charity workers were invited to the garden party where they enjoyed a speech from Harry, musical performances and endless supplies of tea.

The newlyweds delayed their honeymoon to attend the event.
