Meet Rebecca Maddern’s new baby girl!

Popular AFL Footy Show and Australian Ninja Warrior host Rebecca Maddern has welcomed her first child with husband Trent Miller – a baby girl weighing 7.5 pounds (3.4kg).

The couple’s good friend Ben Fordham announced the happy news on the Today show, saying the new parents were overjoyed

“Little baby girl Ruby Mae Miller was born last night. She weighted 7.5 pounds and is absolutely beautiful. Mum and baby are fantastic, and dad is pretty happy too,” Ben shared with the viewers.

Maddern herself spoke to The Sun-Herald revealing, “Trent and I are completely smitten with our baby girl. She arrived three weeks early … and with a full head of hair. Everyone is healthy and very happy and we are just totally in love.”

Fans of the TV presenter would have witnessed Maddern’s baby bump steadily growing on national TV.

Two days after her daughter’s arrival, the 40-year-old shared the first pic of their family’s new addition, a heart-warming photo of Maddern cradling their beautiful girl.

“Ruby Mae Miller is here. 12.4.18 Our hearts are exploding with love,” Maddern captioned the sweet snap.

Speaking to 9Honey earlier this year, Maddern – who has a reputation for being a workaholic – vowed she would ditch her work commitments once her little one arrived and focus on motherhood.

“It’s interesting… people say, ‘Oh you’re taking a break from work’, and I listen to my girlfriends who are mums already and I think, ‘Oh no, the work is just about to begin.’”

During her chat to the The Sun-Herald days after Ruby’s arrival, the TV presenter said, “I won’t be taking 12 months off, but I am not going to come back after two weeks or anything like that.

“I am 40 years of age and thankfully I am at a stage in my life where I don’t feel pressure that I need to go back straight away and be a superwoman.”

Maddern and her husband chose to keep the sex of their first child a secret during the pregnancy – from themselves and everyone else.

“I’ve always maintained that I didn’t want to find out,” Maddern told 9Honey last month. “I just felt like it was one of the greatest surprises in life – a true legitimate surprise – there was no cheating.”

However, it didn’t stop the couple from guessing the sex of their unborn child at the time.

“But Trent’s made up his mind it’s a girl.”

What a lucky guess… Turns out he was right!

Maddern announced her pregnancy in November on her Instagram account, with a photo of a teddy bear and booties, writing, “Can’t wait for our new arrival in 2018.”

Congratulations to Rebecca and Trent!
