The hilarious lesson Turia Pitt’s brothers are teaching her son

Since welcoming beautiful baby boy Hakavai in December with her fiancé Michael Hoskin, Turia Pitt has been happy to share her experiences as a new mum – the ups as well as the downs – on social media with her trademark sense of humour.

The inspirational burns survivor has now shared another sneak peek into the Hoskin-Pitt household, showing her younger brothers, Heimanu and Torik, getting in on the baby action and helping to care for their adorable little nephew.

“My bros are already teaching Hakavai so much, especially their tips for the most flattering photo angles. Cheers bru,” Turia hilariously wrote on Instagram on National Siblings Day.

Turia has been refreshingly candid about her journey with motherhood, and openly revealed the difficult truth about being a new mum.

The author, motivational speaker and Aussie legend got real about the struggles she has faced.

“Parenting is hard,” Turia wrote. “I’ve got a baby that sleeps, a supportive partner, parents and in-laws on speed dial, heaps of mates who’ve had babies and I’m still finding it really challenging and exhausting. To all the parents out there, you’re all legends, and you’re all doing a good job!”

Just days after Hakavai’s birth in December, the 30-year-old also shared with her followers the difficulties she was experiencing with breastfeeding.

“I actually found breastfeeding really hard at the beginning,” Turia admitted. “But then I realised it was the first time I’d ever breastfed and it was Hakavai’s first time too, and the first time you try anything new you’re not going to be an expert at it! We’re not experts (yet) but we’re definitely getting the hang of it.”
