Fans go crazy after Roger Federer shares surprise photo

Roger Federer sent fans into a frenzy after taking a selfie of himself and seven other tennis stars while travelling on a London train.

The eight players, collectively worth around $800 million, were travelling on the London Underground to the launch of the Nitto ATP Finals.

The famous athletes that shocked commuters with an appearance on the busy Jubilee Line train included Federer, Kei Nishikori, Dominic Thiem, John Isner, Kevin Anderson, Marin Cilic, Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic.

The iconic selfie was later posted on Twitter by Nitto Finals event director Adam Hogg.

American John Isner, who is the world No. 10, said the train ride was a fun way to arrive to the event.

“Although we’ve probably all ridden on the tube a time or two, this was very different,” Isner said.

“It’s a very cool way to make an entrance. There were quite a few surprised looks on the faces of folks, especially when Roger and Novak walked by. It was a pretty cool treat for them.”

The ATP Finals is the second highest tier of men’s tennis tournament after the four Grand Slams.

The tennis stars will compete in the tournament at the O2 Arena in London.
