Then & now: 12 centenarians with portraits of their younger selves

Czech photographer Jan Langer created a series called “Faces of Century” where he showcased centenarians side-by-side with a portrait of their younger selves.
He tried to recreate the original pose and lighting as closely as he could, so viewers can observe how the centenarians have and haven’t changed over time.
These faces show people who have lived through two world wars and the rise of technology and modern life.
