Last year, over the Christmas period, we lost Hollywood’s most charismatic and talented mother-daughter duos: Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.

Fisher passed away at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack. Reynolds sadly died just a day after her daughter at 84 years of age.

Thankfully, their memory lives on in a touching HBO documentary “Bright Lights”. The doco follows Fisher and Reynolds’ relationship as they go through their everyday life. It’s charming, funny and intimate – just like the two iconic ladies. Most beautiful of all though is the relationship between the mother and daughter. It’s clear they truly cherished and loved each other.

The documentary was filmed while Fisher was rehearsing for the most recent Star War movie. Mother and daughter speak about ageing, depression, fame, and their bond as mother and daughter.

The film was originally slated for release in March but given the untimely deaths of Reynolds and Fisher, it was released on January 7 on HBO.

Watch the trailer for “Bright Lights” above but be warned, you might need a box of tissues ready.
